1) Can I use this to fill a gap between two parts that don't fit tightly?

No - liquid cyanoacrylate adhesive is designed exclusively for close-fitting, tight-contact surfaces. The adhesive cures by reacting with trace moisture on the mating surfaces; in a wide gap, there is insufficient surface contact and the adhesive pools rather than cures, remaining liquid and failing to bond. For gap-filling applications, use a gel-type super glue or a suitable construction adhesive instead.

2) Will it bond common household plastics like food containers or bags?

No - plastics like polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) have very low surface energy and standard cyanoacrylate adhesives will not bond them without a specialised poly-olefin primer applied first. If you are unsure of the plastic type, a quick test is to apply a drop to the surface - if it beads up and does not wet the surface, the plastic is likely PE or PP and will not bond without primer.

3) How do I prevent the nozzle from clogging after first use?

After dispensing, tap the bottom of the bottle on a flat surface to draw remaining liquid away from the nozzle tip. Wipe the outside of the tip clean with a dry cloth to remove any residue, and tightly screw the cap back on immediately. Moisture in the air is what causes cyanoacrylate to cure - any glue left on an open nozzle tip will skin over and block it. Stored correctly in a cool, dry place with the cap sealed, the bottle will remain usable throughout its shelf life.

4) Is it safe for items that go in the dishwasher or microwave?

No - while the cured bond resists standard moisture and everyday temperature variation, it is not suitable for continuous boiling water, high-temperature dishwasher cycles, or direct microwave heating. Repaired crockery, glassware, or plastic items should be hand-washed only and kept away from high heat after bonding.

5) How much adhesive do I need per joint?

Much less than most people expect. A single drop covers approximately one square inch of surface area. Over-applying is the most common mistake with super glue - excess adhesive slows curing, weakens the bond, and causes white fogging on surfaces near the joint. Apply to one surface only, press together immediately, and hold for 15-30 seconds.
