Ozone Strike Box OPL-2B is the receiving half of a centre patch lock installation on frameless toughened glass doors. The OPL-2A lock throws its bolt; this is what the bolt throws into.
It matters more than an accessory usually would. On a glass door there is no timber frame to simply drill into, so the strike has to be its own engineered fitting, clamped to the adjacent glass panel and aligned precisely with the lock. If the strike is a few millimetres out, the bolt binds or misses entirely, and on a door used all day that becomes an immediate service call.
Cover is SS Grade 304 on an aluminium alloy cast base, finished in satin stainless steel to match the OPL-2A lock and the rest of the patch set.
Key Features
- Matched to the OPL-2A centre patch lock: Designed to align correctly rather than approximately
- Engineered for glass: Clamps to the adjacent panel — no frame required
- SS Grade 304 cover: Marine-grade stainless that holds its finish in humid and coastal conditions
- Aluminium alloy cast base: Rigid body that keeps the mechanism aligned under daily door use
- Satin stainless steel finish: Hides fingerprints far better than mirror-polished hardware

This Is an Accessory, Not a Lock
- This is the receiving box only. It does not lock anything on its own — you also need the OPL-2A centre patch lock, sold separately
- Buying a replacement? Check your existing lock is an OPL-2A before ordering; strike boxes are not interchangeable across lock models
- Alignment is everything. Have it fitted by someone experienced with glass door hardware — a misaligned strike means the bolt binds or misses
- Confirm your glass thickness first. These fittings are made for 10 mm and 12 mm toughened glass
- Toughened glass only. Frameless glass doors must use toughened (tempered) glass
- Any cutouts must be made before toughening. Toughened glass cannot be drilled or notched afterwards — it will shatter
- Patch fittings work as a matched set. Keep the series and finish consistent across the whole door
1) What does a strike box actually do?
It is what the lock’s bolt throws into. On a glass door there is no timber frame to drill, so the strike has to be its own fitting, clamped to the adjacent panel and aligned precisely with the lock.
2) Is this a lock?
No. It is the receiving half only. You also need an OPL-2A centre patch lock, which is sold separately.
3) Will it work with any Ozone patch lock?
It is matched to the OPL-2A. Strike boxes are not interchangeable across lock models — check which lock you have before ordering a replacement.
4) What glass thickness does it suit?
10 mm and 12 mm toughened glass, matching the lock it pairs with.
5) Why does alignment matter so much?
If the strike sits even a few millimetres out, the bolt binds or misses entirely. On a door locked several times a day that becomes a service call quickly, so use a fitter experienced with glass hardware.
