Ozone Centre Patch Lock OPL-2A is a locking patch for frameless toughened glass doors, mounted at the centre of the leading edge rather than at the bottom corner.
Position is the whole difference. A corner lock throws its bolt down into the floor; a centre lock sits at handle height, throwing into a strike box in the adjacent panel or frame. That makes it the right choice for double glass doors meeting in the middle, and for single doors where the lock needs to be at a comfortable, visible height rather than at floor level.
It is also simply easier to use. Locking at waist height means no bending, which matters in a shop or office where the door is secured several times a day.
Key Features
- Centre-of-edge mounting: Locks at handle height — no bending to lock or unlock
- Suits double glass doors: The natural locking point where two leaves meet
- Pairs with the OPL-2B strike box: Matched components designed to align correctly
- SS Grade 304 cover: Marine-grade stainless that holds its finish in humid and coastal conditions
- Aluminium alloy cast base: Rigid body that keeps the mechanism aligned under daily door use
- Satin stainless steel finish: Hides fingerprints far better than mirror-polished hardware

You Will Also Need a Strike Box
- This lock is one half of a pair. The bolt has to throw into something — the matching OPL-2B strike box is a separate purchase
- Order both together unless a compatible strike box is already fitted to the adjacent panel
- Confirm your glass thickness first. These fittings are made for 10 mm and 12 mm toughened glass
- Toughened glass only. Frameless glass doors must use toughened (tempered) glass
- Any cutouts must be made before toughening. Toughened glass cannot be drilled or notched afterwards — it will shatter
- Patch fittings work as a matched set. Keep the series and finish consistent across the whole door
1) What is the difference between a centre patch lock and a corner one?
Position, and it changes how the door is used. A corner lock throws down into the floor; a centre lock sits at handle height and throws into a strike box in the adjacent panel. Centre locks suit double doors and mean no bending to lock up.
2) Does this include the strike box?
No. The matching OPL-2B strike box is sold separately and you need it for the lock to work — the bolt has to throw into something.
3) Can I use it on a double glass door?
Yes, that is a primary application. On a pair of frameless glass leaves, the centre of the meeting edge is where the lock naturally belongs.
4) What glass thickness does it suit?
10 mm and 12 mm toughened glass. Confirm your panel thickness before ordering.
5) Will my glass need a cutout?
Confirm with your glass supplier before the panel is toughened — toughened glass cannot be modified afterwards without shattering.
