Ozone Glass Patch Fitting OPF-2 is the top patch for a frameless toughened glass door — the fitting that clamps the top of the leading edge and carries the upper pivot.

On a frameless door there is no frame and no hinges. The whole leaf pivots on two points: a top pivot held in the overhead structure, and a floor spring at the bottom. The top patch is what transfers the glass to that upper pivot, and it has to hold the panel square while allowing it to swing freely.

The variable pivot point of 55 or 65 mm is the detail that matters on site. It lets the fitter shift where the door turns, which is how a glass door gets squared up against an opening that is never perfectly true. Without that adjustment, a door either binds or leaves an uneven gap.

Cutouts must be made before toughening. Toughened glass cannot be drilled or notched afterwards — it will shatter. Patch fittings require cutouts, so the glass must be ordered to suit

1) What does a top patch do?

It clamps the top of the leading edge of a frameless glass door and carries the upper pivot. With no frame and no hinges, the door turns on just two points — this is the upper one.
