Ozone Glass Patch Fitting OPF-1 is the over-panel and side-panel connecting patch with pivot — the fitting that joins a fixed glass panel above or beside the door, while carrying the door’s pivot point.
Most frameless glass entrances are not a single door. There is usually a fixed panel above the opening, a side panel, or both, and those panels have to be joined structurally to each other and to the door’s pivot. This patch does both jobs at once: it connects the panels and houses the pivot.
Doing it in one fitting rather than two keeps the junction clean, which matters because on frameless glass every joint is on show. The integrated pivot ensures the door turns exactly where the panels meet, so the alignment stays true.
Key Features
- Variable pivot point of 55 or 65 mm: Lets the fitter adjust where the door pivots, which is how a glass door is squared up on site
- SS Grade 304 cover: Marine-grade stainless that holds its finish in humid conditions
- Aluminium alloy cast base: Rigid body that keeps the door aligned under daily use
- Cover secured with a small ‘L’ key: Fixings are not exposed to casual tampering

What Else You Will Need
A Frameless Glass Door Needs a Full Set
- Top patch (OPF-2) at the top of the leading edge, with a top pivot in the overhead structure
- Bottom patch (OPF-3) at the bottom, sitting onto the floor spring spindle
- Floor spring such as the Ozone FS-8400, which carries the weight and controls the closing action
- Patch lock for securing the door
- Handles on both faces
- All in the same series and finish — mixed hardware is very visible on frameless glass
Before You Order — Glass Preparation
- Cutouts must be made before toughening. Toughened glass cannot be drilled or notched afterwards — it will shatter. Patch fittings require cutouts, so the glass must be ordered to suit
- Confirm glass thickness and cutout drawing with your glass supplier before the panel is made
- Patch fittings are a matched set. Keep the series and finish consistent across top patch, bottom patch, lock and floor spring
1) When do I need an OPF-1?
When your glass entrance has a fixed panel above or beside the door. It joins those panels structurally while carrying the door’s pivot — two jobs in one fitting.
2) How is it different from a top patch?
A top patch (OPF-2) clamps the door leaf itself. The OPF-1 connects the surrounding fixed panels and houses the pivot where they meet. Most installations with an over-panel need both.
3) Why not use two separate fittings?
You could, but the junction would be busier. On frameless glass every joint is visible, so combining the connection and the pivot in one fitting keeps the detail clean and the alignment true.
4) What glass thickness does it suit?
It is compatible with the standard frameless glass door thicknesses. Confirm your exact panel thickness and cutout requirements with your glass supplier before the panels are toughened.
5) Do I need this if my door has no over-panel?
No. If the door runs full height with no fixed panel above or beside it, you need a top patch and top pivot instead.
