Legrand ETPN (Extended Three Phase & Neutral) Distribution Board takes a 415V three-phase supply and safely divides it into separate outgoing circuits, each protected by its own MCB. It has a dedicated space for the main incoming breaker (such as a 4-pole MCB, RCCB or isolator) and outgoing MCB slots split evenly across the three phases.
The CRCA steel body is powder coated against corrosion, and the double door keeps the breakers and wiring protected from dust and covered from casual access. Inside, 100A copper busbars on each phase and a fully shrouded neutral bar help keep live parts covered for safer wiring and maintenance, while a removable pan and identification labels make installation neater and quicker. Rated IP42 for indoor use, it can be flush or surface mounted. Choose 4, 6, 8 or 12 ways depending on how many circuits you need on each phase.

Which Size to Choose
- Count Your Circuits: "Ways" is the number of outgoing single-pole MCBs on each phase – a 4 Way board takes 4 per phase (12 in total)
- Plan for the Future: Choose one size larger than you need today to leave room for new circuits
- Check the Incomer: 4 and 6 Way boards have 4 incomer modules; 8 and 12 Way boards have 8
Installation & Safety
Important – Read Before Use
- Licensed Electrician Only: Three-phase 415V work must be done by a licensed electrician
- Isolate the Supply: Make sure the incoming supply is fully switched off before any work
- Indoor Use Only: IP42 is not weatherproof – install indoors, away from direct water
- Balance the Load: Spread circuits evenly across the three phases
- Earthing: Make sure the board and all circuits are properly earthed
1) What does ETPN mean?
ETPN stands for Extended Three Phase & Neutral. It is a distribution board for a three-phase supply plus neutral, with an extended space for the main incoming breaker and separate outgoing slots on each phase.
2) How do the module spaces work?
Each board has an incomer space for the main breaker and outgoing slots split evenly across the three phases. For example, the 4 Way board has 4 incomer modules (for a 4-pole MCB or RCCB) and 12 outgoing modules – 4 on each phase – for single-pole MCBs.
3) What is the difference between SPN and ETPN boards?
SPN boards are for single-phase 240V supply (one live and one neutral). ETPN boards are for 415V three-phase supply, with three live phases and a neutral, used in larger homes and buildings with higher or balanced loads.
4) Can it be installed outdoors?
No. IP42 protects against dust and dripping water indoors, but it is not weatherproof. Install it indoors, away from direct rain and water.
5) Are MCBs included?
No. The board comes empty, with busbars, a shrouded neutral bar, a removable pan and labels. MCBs, the RCCB or isolator, and cables are bought separately.
6) Which size should I choose?
Count how many circuits you need on each phase. 4 Way suits small homes and workshops, 6 Way larger homes and offices, 8 Way large homes and small commercial floors, and 12 Way buildings or floors with many circuits. Leave a few spare ways for future needs.
