CP Plus CP-Z43Q is a 4MP outdoor Wi-Fi pan-tilt camera with full-colour night vision — an IP65-rated unit that keeps recording in colour after dark rather than switching to black and white.

That colour capability is the reason to choose this camera, and it is worth understanding why it matters. Conventional infrared night vision produces a grey image with no colour information at all. You can see that someone was there; you often cannot say what colour their shirt, their bag or their vehicle was — which is precisely the detail that makes footage useful afterwards. The CP-Z43Q carries 8 white LEDs alongside 8 IR LEDs, so it can light the scene properly and record in full colour to 8–10 m, or fall back to IR for 15 m in mono.

At 4MP (2560 x 1440) it resolves noticeably more detail than a 3MP camera — the difference between knowing a vehicle was present and reading its plate. 345° pan and 70° tilt cover a driveway, yard or shopfront from one mounting point, with motion tracking to follow movement automatically.

Unusually for a Wi-Fi camera, it also has an Ethernet port. If the mounting position has poor Wi-Fi — common at the far end of a compound or through an external wall — you can run a cable instead and get a stable connection.

1) What is full-colour night vision, and is it worth it?

Standard IR night vision gives a grey image with no colour information. You can see someone was there but not what colour their clothing, bag or vehicle was — which is usually the detail that matters afterwards. This camera uses white LEDs to record in full colour to 8–10 m, and can still fall back to IR for 15 m in mono.

2) Can it really be mounted outside?

Yes — it is IP65 rated for dust and rain, unlike the indoor CP-E38Q. Mount it under an eave or overhang where you can; that is not required, but it extends the life of any outdoor camera.

3) What if the Wi-Fi does not reach?

Use the Ethernet port. That is unusual on a Wi-Fi camera and genuinely useful, since outdoor mounting positions often have the weakest signal in the building. A cable gives a stable connection where Wi-Fi struggles.

4) Is 4MP much better than 3MP?

Meaningfully, yes. 2560 x 1440 against 2304 x 1296 is more pixels across the same scene, which is the difference between seeing that a vehicle was present and being able to read the plate. The F1.6 aperture also lets in more light than the F2.0 lens on the 3MP model.

5) Is a memory card included?
