CP Plus CP-E38Q is a 3MP indoor Wi-Fi pan-tilt camera from the ezyKam+ range, covering a room from a single mounting point instead of a fixed view of one corner.

The motorised head is what makes that possible: 355° of pan and 75° of tilt means you can sweep almost a full circle and look up or down from your phone. A fixed camera sees one angle forever, so anything outside that cone never happened. With motion tracking enabled, the camera follows movement across the room by itself.

Human body detection is the feature that decides whether you keep notifications switched on. Plain motion detection alerts on a ceiling fan, a curtain, a pet, headlights through a window — and after a week of that, most people mute the app entirely, which defeats the point of having a camera. Filtering for human shapes means the alerts you do get are worth looking at.

It also has two-way talk with echo cancellation and a built-in siren, so you can speak through the camera or trigger an audible alarm remotely. Records to a micro SD card up to 256 GB, and works with Alexa and Google Home.

1) What does pan and tilt actually give me over a fixed camera?

Coverage. A fixed camera sees one angle forever — anything outside that cone is never recorded. With 355° pan and 75° tilt you can look almost anywhere in the room from your phone, and motion tracking lets the camera follow movement on its own.

2) Will it alert me every time the fan moves?

That is exactly what human body detection prevents. Plain motion detection triggers on fans, curtains, pets and headlights — and people mute the app within a week. Filtering for human shapes keeps the alerts worth reading.

3) Can I use it outdoors?

No. The CP-E38Q is indoor only with no weatherproof rating. Rain or sustained humidity will damage it. For an outdoor position, use the CP-Z43Q, which is IP65 rated.

4) Is a memory card included?

No — you supply a micro SD card up to 256 GB. Buy one rated for continuous surveillance recording; a standard phone card is not built for constant writing and fails much sooner.

5) Why does it only connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi?

2.4 GHz travels further and passes through walls better than 5 GHz, which matters more for a camera than raw speed. If your router broadcasts both bands under one name, you may need to separate them temporarily during setup.
