Product Description
PVC Casing Capping is a two-piece wire management system - a base channel (casing) that mounts to the wall and a snap-on cover (capping) that clips over it to conceal the wires inside. Available in 19mm, 25mm, and 35mm widths to suit different wire quantities, each unit is 2 metres long in white PVC. It is used wherever electrical wiring needs to run along a wall surface without being embedded in the wall - renovations where wall cutting is not practical, new circuits added to existing rooms, data and network cabling runs, and commercial or industrial spaces with surface-mounted wiring systems.
Installation is straightforward - screw the casing base to the wall, lay the wires inside, and snap the capping cover on. The cover can be removed at any time for future access to the wiring without disturbing the wall. Accessories including corner pieces, end caps, and joint connectors are available separately for a complete, professional finish at bends and junctions. Maximum 40-50% fill of the channel cross-section is recommended - avoid overcrowding cables as it generates heat and makes future access difficult.

Installation Guidelines
Step-by-Step Installation
-
Plan the route: Mark the cable path on the wall - plan for straight runs and identify where corners, junctions, and end points will be so you can count the accessories needed.
-
Mount the casing: Screw the base channel to the wall at 300-400mm intervals - ensure it is level and straight. Use appropriate wall plugs for masonry walls.
-
Lay the wires: Place cables neatly inside the casing channel - keep fill below 40-50% of the channel cross-section. Do not bunch cables tightly.
-
Snap on the capping: Press the cover firmly onto the casing along the full length until it clicks into place.
-
Finish corners and joints: Fit corner pieces, end caps, and joint connectors at all bends and junctions for a complete, professional finish.
Recommended Applications
Where PVC Casing Capping fits best
-
Residential renovations: Adding new circuits to existing homes without cutting walls - the most common use case in Indian apartments and houses
-
Commercial fit-outs: Office spaces, retail stores, and hospitality interiors where surface wiring needs to look neat and organised
-
Data and network cabling: Routing LAN cables, phone lines, and low-voltage wiring along walls in offices and homes
-
Industrial facilities: Factories and warehouses with surface-mounted electrical systems where conduit is not practical
-
Temporary installations: Exhibition spaces, event setups, and temporary structures where wiring needs to be removed or changed later

FAQs
1) Which size should I order - 19mm, 25mm, or 35mm?
Choose based on how many cables you need to route: 19mm for 2-3 cables (a single circuit or one data cable), 25mm for 4-6 cables (standard residential or commercial runs with multiple circuits), 35mm for 8-10 cables (high-density or industrial runs). Keep fill below 40-50% of the channel - if your cable bundle is close to the full width of the channel, go one size up. When in doubt, choose the larger size - it is easier to route and allows for future additions.
2) Can I run data cables and electrical wires in the same casing?
Not recommended - power cables generate electromagnetic interference (EMI) that can disrupt data transmission in network and phone cables run alongside them. Use separate casing runs for power and data cables. If space is limited, use the larger 35mm size with an internal divider to keep the two cable types physically separated within the same channel.
3) How do I join two lengths of casing capping together?
Use snap-on joint connectors or couplers - available separately as accessories - which create a clean, seamless join between two 2-metre lengths. Plan your total run length before ordering to calculate how many units and connectors you need. At corners and bends, use internal corner, external corner, or flat bend accessories for a professional finish rather than cutting the PVC at angles.
4) Can casing capping be painted to match my wall colour?
Yes - lightly sand the surface first for better paint adhesion, then apply acrylic or latex paint. Clean the surface thoroughly before painting. White blends well with most Indian interior wall colours and painting is often unnecessary, but it is an option if your walls are a strong colour and a white run would be visually prominent.
5) How do I remove the capping cover for future wire access?
Insert a flat-head screwdriver or putty knife at one end and gently pry the capping away from the casing - work along the length, releasing the snap-fit clips gradually. Do not force it all at once as excessive pressure can crack the cover. The casing base remains screwed to the wall and the same capping can usually be re-clipped after the work is done.
