Manufacturer: Ozone Secutech
Model: NSK-780
Type: Overhead door closer for glass doors
Mounting: Overhead, using a glass mounting plate
Requires: Matching mounting plate — sold separately
Finish: Silver

Ozone Door Closer NSK-780 is an overhead door closer designed for glass doors, mounted with a dedicated glass mounting plate rather than screwed into a frame.

That is the problem it solves. A conventional closer is screwed into a timber or metal frame — glass offers neither. The mounting plate clamps to the panel instead, giving the closer something solid to fix to without drilling into an already-toughened sheet.

Confirm whether your application needs a hold-open function before ordering. Note that hold-open closers must not be used on fire doors, where the door is required to close unaided.

Key Features

Designed for glass doors: Mounts via a plate rather than screwing into a frame that does not exist
Controlled closing: Returns the door reliably instead of leaving it ajar
Overhead mounting: Keeps the floor clear, unlike a floor spring which needs a recess in the slab
No floor excavation needed: A practical retrofit where cutting the floor is not an option

Mounting	Overhead, via glass mounting plate

You Will Also Need the Mounting Plate

The mounting plate is a separate purchase. The NSK-780 cannot be fitted to a glass door without it — there is nothing else to fix to
Use the plate made for this model. Ozone lists a specific mounting plate for the NSK-780; plates are not interchangeable between closer models
Confirm your door weight and width against the closer’s rating before ordering
Overhead closer or floor spring? An overhead closer avoids cutting the floor, which makes it the practical choice for retrofits. A floor spring is neater and hides the mechanism entirely, but needs a recess in the slab

1) Why does a glass door need a special closer?

Because there is no frame to screw into. A conventional closer fixes to timber or metal; on glass, a mounting plate clamps to the panel to give the closer something solid to attach to.

2) Is the mounting plate included?

No — it is sold separately, and the NSK-780 cannot be fitted without it. Order the plate made specifically for this model; they are not interchangeable across closers.

3) Should I use this or a floor spring?

An overhead closer avoids cutting the floor, which makes it the practical choice for a retrofit or where the slab cannot be excavated. A floor spring is neater and hides the mechanism, but needs a recess formed in the floor.

4) Can I use hold-open on a fire door?

No. A fire door must close unaided to do its job. Hold-open devices on fire doors are only permitted where they release automatically on alarm, which a mechanical hold-open closer does not do.

5) What door weight will it handle?

Please confirm the rating against your door before ordering — the figure is not published for this variant. Send us your door dimensions and glass thickness and we will check.
