Ozone Sliding Door Hardware Kit OZ-SL-44-A1 is a kit from Ozone’s System 44 sliding door range, running on round rollers.
A sliding door earns its place where a swing door cannot work. A hinged leaf needs a clear arc of floor to open into — roughly a square metre of otherwise usable room, permanently kept empty. A sliding door needs none of it, which is why sliding hardware is specified in compact bathrooms, wardrobes, partitions and utility spaces where that arc simply does not exist.
The round roller design is what determines how the door feels in daily use. Rollers running on a matched track carry the leaf smoothly and quietly; a mismatched or under-rated roller set is what produces the juddering, noisy slide that makes people dislike sliding doors. Matching the kit to the actual door weight is the single most important decision here.
Key Features
- System 44 round rollers: Smooth, quiet travel when correctly matched to door weight
- No swing arc needed: Frees roughly a square metre of floor compared with a hinged door
- Supplied as a kit: Matched components rather than parts assembled from different sources
- Suits compact spaces: Bathrooms, wardrobes, partitions and utility rooms

Before You Order — Get the Weight Right
- Door weight is the critical figure. Sliding hardware is rated by the weight it carries; an under-rated kit will judder, wear quickly and eventually drop the door
- Glass is heavier than it looks. A 12 mm toughened panel weighs roughly 30 kg per square metre — calculate before choosing, do not estimate
- Confirm whether the track is included in this kit or ordered separately by length — ask us before ordering if the listing is not explicit
- Check the structure above the opening. A sliding track transfers the whole door weight into whatever it is fixed to, so the lintel or header must be sound
- Allow wall space beside the opening equal to the door width, for the leaf to slide into
1) What is System 44?
Ozone’s sliding door hardware system running on round rollers. Components within the system are designed to work together, which is why it is sold as a matched kit.
2) How do I know which kit to choose?
By door weight and width, not by preference. Sliding hardware is rated by the load it carries. Tell us your door material, dimensions and thickness and we will confirm which kit suits.
3) Is the track included?
Please confirm before ordering — sliding systems are sometimes supplied with a fixed track length and sometimes with the track ordered separately to suit the opening. Ask us and we will check for your specific kit.
4) Why does my old sliding door judder?
Almost always under-rated or worn rollers, or a track that is not level. Rollers carrying more weight than they are designed for wear rapidly and never run smoothly again.
5) What do I need above the opening?
A structurally sound lintel or header. The track transfers the entire door weight into it, so plasterboard without proper backing is not adequate.
