CERA Actuator Knob, M Type, Shine Finish (B1120102) is the dual-flush control for a CERA Chevron concealed cistern, in the M profile. In a concealed installation the cistern, frame and pipework all disappear behind tile — this knob is the one element left on show.

It's worth choosing deliberately for that reason. The knob is pressed several times a day for the life of the bathroom, and it sits in plain view against your tile, so both its feel and its shape matter more than the price suggests. CERA supplies Chevron cisterns without a knob so the choice is yours, across H, M and Q types in a shared shine finish.

All three are mechanically identical: dual-flush actuation for a full or reduced flush, mounted flush against the tile face. The plate also removes for service access to the cistern's flush valve and inlet, which is how a concealed system is maintained without disturbing tiling.

Choosing Your Knob Type

All three fit the same Chevron cisterns and work identically — the difference is the shape of the visible knob. Compare the product images and pick the one that suits your bathroom.

1) Will this fit my cistern?

It fits CERA Chevron concealed cisterns only. It is not a universal flush plate. If you're replacing an existing knob, confirm your cistern is a Chevron before ordering.

2) Do I need to buy a knob separately, or does the cistern include one?

Separately. CERA Chevron cistern sets are supplied without a knob, so the knob is always an additional purchase. Without it, the cistern cannot be flushed.

3) How is M type different from H and Q?

Only in the shape of the visible knob. All three share the shine finish, the dual-flush mechanism, and the same fit. It's purely an appearance choice — compare the images.

4) Is the shine finish hard to keep clean?

No — a shine finish wipes clean easily with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, which will dull the surface over time.

5) What happens if the flush mechanism needs repair later?

The knob plate removes to give access to the flush valve and inlet inside the wall, so a plumber can service or replace internal parts without disturbing your tiling.
