Taparia Cable Cutter CC 06 is a 160 mm cutter with curved shearing jaws, made for cutting copper and aluminium cable cleanly.

The jaw shape is the whole reason this exists as a separate tool. A side-cutting plier crushes a cable as it cuts — it squashes the conductor flat, deforms the strands, and leaves an end that will not seat properly in a lug or terminal. A cable cutter’s curved jaws draw the cable into the cut and shear it, so the conductor keeps its round section and the end goes straight into a crimp.
