Legrand Myrius NextGen Fan Regulator controls your ceiling fan's speed in 5 clear steps using a 360° rotary knob. Please note it is a 5-step regulator, not a stepless one – the speed changes in fixed steps, not smoothly.

The "360°" knob turns in a full, endless circle with no end stop. Turn it forward past speed 5 and it loops back to the start of the cycle; turn it backward from the start and it jumps straight to speed 5. This means you can reach any speed quickly from either direction, without winding the knob all the way back.

Being capacitor-based, it runs cooler and quieter than older resistor-type regulators, which waste energy as heat and often hum at low speeds. Rated at 100W, it suits standard ceiling fans. Installation Guidelines

1) Is this a stepless regulator?

No. It has 5 fixed speed steps – the speed does not change smoothly or continuously. If you need continuously variable speed, this is not the right product.

2) What does "360°" mean?

It means the knob turns in a full, endless circle without hitting a stopping point. When you are at speed 5 and turn it one more click forward, it goes back to the start of the cycle. It works in reverse too – from the start, one click backward takes you straight to speed 5.

3) How is it better than an old resistor-type regulator?

Resistor-type regulators waste the extra energy as heat and often hum at low speeds. This capacitor-based regulator runs cooler and quieter and uses less electricity, especially at lower speeds.

4) Will it work with my ceiling fan?

It works with most standard induction-motor ceiling fans up to 100W. It is not suitable for BLDC (energy-saving) fans that come with their own remote or electronic speed control – check your fan's manual before connecting.

5) Do I need a separate fan switch?
