Jaquar Towel Ring is the wall-mounted ring that holds a hand towel beside your basin, in chrome, and in two shapes — Continental Round or Kubix Prime Square.

A towel ring does a specific job that a towel rail does not. It holds a hand towel within arm's reach of the basin, hanging from a single point so you can grab it, dry your hands and drop it back without looking or unfolding anything. A towel rail is for a bath towel and belongs near the shower. Most bathrooms need both, and using a rail for hand-drying beside a basin means a permanently crumpled, damp towel.

The real decision here is shape, and it is worth taking seriously because a towel ring hangs at eye level on a bare wall where there is nothing else to look at. The Continental Round has a circular ring on a round wall flange — a soft, classic profile that sits comfortably with curved taps and traditional sanitaryware. 1) What is the difference between the two variants?

Shape and range. The Continental ACN-CHR-1121BN is ROUND, with a circular ring and round wall flange. The Kubix Prime AKP-CHR-35721P is SQUARE, with that range's sharp geometry. Both are chrome and both do the same job — choose the one that matches your taps and other fittings.

3) Where should I fit it?

Within arm's reach of the basin, at roughly hand height, and positioned so a wet towel will not drip across the floor or near a socket. Check the projection from the wall on the 2D drawing linked above before you fix the position — on a narrow wall beside a door, that measurement matters.

4) Can I fit it myself?

If you are comfortable drilling tile, yes. Use a tile bit at low speed with no hammer action, and drill into the tile body rather than a grout line or a tile edge, which cracks. Fix into masonry or proper backing, not tile adhesive alone. If you are unsure, use a plumber or handyman — a cracked tile costs far more to put right than the ring did.

5) How do I keep the chrome looking new?

A soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads and acidic descalers, which permanently dull chrome plating. In a hard water area — which covers much of Bengaluru on borewell supply — wiping it dry occasionally prevents the mineral spotting that etches the finish over time.
