Jaquar Towel Ring is the wall-mounted ring that holds a hand towel beside your basin, in chrome, and in two shapes — Continental Round or Kubix Prime Square.

A towel ring does a specific job that a towel rail does not. It holds a hand towel within arm's reach of the basin, hanging from a single point so you can grab it, dry your hands and drop it back without looking or unfolding anything. A towel rail is for a bath towel and belongs near the shower. Most bathrooms need both, and using a rail for hand-drying beside a basin means a permanently crumpled, damp towel.

The real decision here is shape, and it is worth taking seriously because a towel ring hangs at eye level on a bare wall where there is nothing else to look at. The Continental Round has a circular ring on a round wall flange — a soft, classic profile that sits comfortably with curved taps and traditional sanitaryware. The Kubix Prime Square carries that range's sharp squared geometry, which suits a bathroom fitted with square-bowl basins, angular mixers and the rest of the Kubix Prime line.

Mixing them is the thing to avoid. A round ring beside a squared Kubix Prime mixer reads as an afterthought, and once the wall is drilled and tiled, moving it means a patched hole. Match the shape to the taps and the bathroom looks designed rather than assembled.

Which One Should I Choose?

  Continental Round Kubix Prime Square
Product Code ACN-CHR-1121BN AKP-CHR-35721P
Shape Round ring, round wall flange Square ring
Jaquar Range Continental Kubix Prime
Character Soft, classic, understated Sharp, contemporary, geometric
Best matched to Curved taps, oval basins, traditional or transitional bathrooms Kubix Prime taps, square-bowl basins, modern fitouts

Pick by what is already on the wall. If your taps are Kubix Prime, take the square ring — we also stock Kubix Prime basin mixers and angle valves, so the whole bathroom can match.

Key Features

  • Single-point hanging: Grab the towel, dry your hands, drop it back — no unfolding or rearranging
  • Two shapes: Round or square, so the ring matches your taps instead of fighting them
  • Chrome finish on both, pairing with chrome taps and fittings
  • Wall flange included on the Continental variant, covering the fixing neatly
  • Compact footprint: Fits beside a basin where a towel rail would not
  • Part of a full accessory range: Both Continental and Kubix Prime offer matching rails, hooks, soap dishes and paper holders

Before You Order — and Before You Drill

  • Check the shape against your taps. Round with round, square with square. A towel ring hangs at eye level on an otherwise bare wall, so a mismatch is noticeable every day
  • Position it within reach of the basin, roughly at hand height, and where a wet towel will not drip across the floor or onto a socket
  • Drilling tile needs care. Use a tile bit at low speed with no hammer action, and drill into the tile body rather than a grout line or a tile edge, which cracks. If you are not confident, use a plumber or handyman — a cracked tile is far more expensive to fix than the ring
  • Fix into something solid. A towel ring takes a wet towel and an occasional pull, so the fixing must go into masonry or proper backing, not just tile adhesive
  • Buying more than one accessory? Take them from the same range so the whole bathroom matches — ask us for the matching towel rail, soap dish, robe hook and paper holder

Recommended Applications

Where a towel ring belongs

  • Beside the wash basin: The primary place, for hand drying
  • Powder rooms and guest WCs: Where there is no room for a full towel rail
  • Kitchens: A hand towel near the sink, if the finish suits
  • Alongside a towel rail: Ring for hands at the basin, rail for bath towels near the shower
  • Matching accessory sets: As part of a full Continental or Kubix Prime fitout

1) What is the difference between the two variants?

Shape and range. The Continental ACN-CHR-1121BN is ROUND, with a circular ring and round wall flange. The Kubix Prime AKP-CHR-35721P is SQUARE, with that range's sharp geometry. Both are chrome and both do the same job — choose the one that matches your taps and other fittings.

2) Towel ring or towel rail — which do I need?

Different jobs, and most bathrooms want both. A towel ring holds a hand towel beside the basin, hanging from one point so you can grab it and drop it back without unfolding anything. A towel rail is for a bath towel and belongs near the shower, where a towel needs spreading out to dry.

3) Where should I fit it?

Within arm's reach of the basin, at roughly hand height, and positioned so a wet towel will not drip across the floor or near a socket. Check the projection from the wall on the 2D drawing linked above before you fix the position — on a narrow wall beside a door, that measurement matters.

4) Can I fit it myself?

If you are comfortable drilling tile, yes. Use a tile bit at low speed with no hammer action, and drill into the tile body rather than a grout line or a tile edge, which cracks. Fix into masonry or proper backing, not tile adhesive alone. If you are unsure, use a plumber or handyman — a cracked tile costs far more to put right than the ring did.

5) How do I keep the chrome looking new?

A soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads and acidic descalers, which permanently dull chrome plating. In a hard water area — which covers much of Bengaluru on borewell supply — wiping it dry occasionally prevents the mineral spotting that etches the finish over time.
