Decide all three before first-fix plumbing. The frame and cistern are built into the wall and tiled over, so they cannot be added later without breaking tiles
Never fit a wall hung pan without the correct frame, whatever the wall is made of — the frame carries the load, not the wall surface
Ceramic is fragile. Unbox and inspect for transit damage on the day of delivery, before your plumber begins
Clean with mild detergent only. Abrasive powders and strong acids permanently dull the glaze — once the shine is gone it cannot be restored

1) Is this everything I need for a working toilet?

No — a wall hung EWC needs three parts. This is the pan. You also need a concealed cistern with supporting frame and an actuator flush knob, both sold separately. The Chevron cistern sets come without a knob, so that is a third purchase.

2) Can a wall hung toilet take an adult’s weight?

Yes, when installed correctly. The pan hangs on a steel frame fixed to the floor and wall, not on the wall surface — the frame carries the load. That is exactly why the frame is not optional, however solid your wall looks.

3) Can I replace my floor-standing toilet with this?
