Necessary Steps Before Applying the Sealer

1. Initial Sanding: Thoroughly abrade the raw wood surface along the direction of the organic grain using Sandpaper No. 180, followed by finer No. 320 or 400 paper. Clean off all fine wood dust
2. Knot & Dent Repairing: Clean away loose wood fibers. Fill visible dents, deep cracks, and structural gaps using WoodTech Wood Filler via a flexible putty knife. Allow it to dry completely before re-sanding
3. Staining (Optional): If a distinct timber hue is required, apply a coat of WoodTech Wood Stains Interiors via ragging or spray machine. Allow 30 minutes of drying window; never mix wood stains directly inside the sealer liquid
4. Sealer Mixing: Stir the Sealer Base (2102) thoroughly. Mix Base and Hardener strictly in an 80:20 volumetric ratio. Dilute with 15% to 30% WoodTech PU Thinner and leave the solution undisturbed for 30 minutes to mature
5. First Sealer Coat: Spray a uniform layer across the wood profile. Allow it to cure fully for 8 to 12 hours
6. Intermediate Sanding: Once the first layer is dry, sand the sealed surface lightly with fine Sandpaper No. 320 or 400 to chop down raised wood fibers. Clean away residues; never utilize steel wool for intermediate wood sanding
7. Second Sealer Coat: Apply a second uniform spray layer of the activated sealer mix to achieve an immaculate surface profile. Let it dry for 8 to 12 hours before sanding and progressing to the topcoats (Glossy 2104 or Matt 2103)
