CERA Carnival Rimless Wall Hung EWC (S1043144) is a softly curved, D-shaped wall hung toilet in Snow White ceramic, supplied with a duroplast slim soft-close seat cover.

Its key advantage is the rimless bowl. A conventional toilet has a hidden channel under the rim that is hard to reach and collects limescale, bacteria and odour. A rimless bowl has no such channel: water is directed around the bowl from an open outlet, so every surface is visible and easy to brush clean. 1) Is this everything I need to install a working toilet?

No. You need three parts: this pan with seat cover, a concealed cistern with supporting frame (CERA Chevron set), and an actuator flush plate or knob. The cistern and plate are sold separately. Finalise all three before your plumber starts, because the frame is tiled into the wall.

2) What does "rimless" mean, and is it worth it?

A conventional bowl has a hollow channel under the rim that is hard to clean and collects limescale, bacteria and smells. A rimless bowl has no such channel, so every surface can be seen and brushed. In hard-water areas this makes a real difference over the years.

3) Does a rimless toilet flush as well?

Yes. Water is directed around the full bowl from an open outlet, which generally gives more even coverage than a conventional rim, while being much easier to keep clean.

4) What seat cover is included?

A duroplast slim soft-close seat cover. Duroplast is a dense, hard plastic that resists scratches, stains and discolouration better than standard polypropylene seats, and the soft-close hinge lowers the lid gently without slamming.

5) Can I replace my floor-standing toilet with this?

Only with plumbing changes. This is a P-trap pan with a wall outlet, while most floor-standing toilets in India are S-trap with a floor outlet. Switching means moving the waste connection into the wall and building a frame recess, so have a plumber assess your bathroom first.
