Aqua Flocklined Industrial Gloves are heavy-weight reusable rubber gloves with a soft lining inside, a textured grip and a rolled cuff — for cleaning, washing, handling and general wet work.

Flocklined is the feature in the name, and it is worth understanding because it is what separates these from cheap unlined gloves. The inside is coated with a fine layer of cotton flock. Bare rubber against skin sticks, drags and traps sweat — which is why unlined gloves are a struggle to pull on, worse to pull off, and unpleasant after twenty minutes. A flock lining absorbs sweat and lets the glove slide on and off easily, so it is the difference between gloves that get worn and gloves that get abandoned in a drawer.

The rolled cuff is another small feature doing real work. The bead at the open end catches water running down the glove when your hands are raised, instead of letting it run onto your forearm and inside your sleeve. It also reinforces the opening, which is where a glove tears first when you drag it on.

The textured palm and fingers give grip on exactly what rubber is worst at holding — wet crockery, soapy handles and slippery tools.

1) What does “flocklined” mean?

The inside is coated with a fine layer of cotton flock. Bare rubber sticks to skin, drags when you pull it on, and traps sweat — which is why unlined gloves become unpleasant within about twenty minutes. A flock lining absorbs sweat and lets the glove slide on and off, so they stay comfortable through a full cleaning round.

2) Which size should I order?

Gloves are more size-sensitive than almost anything else you buy. Too small and they split at the fingertips under strain; too large and the empty fingers catch on things and you lose grip. These come in Medium, Large and Extra Large — pick the size you normally wear in a rubber glove rather than sizing up for comfort, since a snug fit is what gives the grip.

3) Can I wear them for handling chemicals?

These are general-purpose rubber gloves, not certified chemical-protection PPE, and the pack carries no chemical resistance rating. They are suited to cleaning, washing and wet work with everyday household and housekeeping products. For handling concentrated or hazardous chemicals, the chemical's own safety data sheet specifies the glove material and rating required — check that rather than assuming any rubber glove will do.
