Dr. Fixit Roofseal Classic (652) is a single-component, water-based liquid waterproofing coating for exposed concrete roofs, terraces and external structural surfaces. A polyurethane-acrylic hybrid emulsion with nano-fibre reinforcement cures into a seamless elastomeric membrane that stretches at least 300% at break and bridges thermal cracks up to 2.0 mm wide. It also reflects solar heat, lowering the roof surface temperature by up to 10°C, and takes everyday foot traffic. It is for roofs up to 300 to 500 sq m; for larger roofs, Pidilite directs you to Roofseal Ultra or its polyurea lines. It carries a 10-Year Waterproofing Warranty when applied through the authorised system.
Key Features
- Acrylate PU Hybrid Film: The weathering elasticity of acrylic with the puncture and chemical resistance of polyurethane
- Nano-Fibre Reinforced, ≥ 300% Elongation: Stretches to bridge active cracks up to 2.0 mm without tearing, with no external mesh needed under standard conditions
- Heat-Reflecting Topcoat: Cuts exposed roof surface temperature by up to 10°C in peak summer
- Foot-Traffic Durable: An abrasion-resistant barrier for everyday access and maintenance

Pack Coverage Guide
| Pack | Coverage | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 10 L Bucket | About 100–110 sq ft (full system) | Medium terraces, floor additions, roof repairs and balconies |

Recommended Application Steps
- Clean the Surface: Use wire brushes or a high-pressure water jet to remove loose laitance, old coatings, moss and dirt
- Check the Temperature: Don't apply if the slab is hotter than 36°C. If it is, wet the roof with fresh water to cool it first, to prevent blistering
- Self-Priming Coat: Mix 3 parts Roofseal Classic with 1 part water by volume and apply this thin blend as the anchor coat
- Two Topcoats: Once the primer coat is completely dry, apply 2 coats of undiluted Roofseal Classic, each perpendicular to the last, with 4 to 6 hours between coats

1) Can I apply it directly over old China Mosaic tile roofs or brickbat coba?
Yes. It bonds firmly to tricky surfaces including brickbat coba, cement screeds, China mosaic, clay tiles and ceramic terrace bases. Just make sure any loose or hollow tiles are re-fixed securely before coating.
2) Do I need to buy a separate primer?
No. It is a self-priming system. Dilute the Roofseal Classic itself 3:1 with water (3 parts coating to 1 part water) for the anchor coat, which saves labour steps and material cost.
3) How does it save energy?
The coating forms a reflective barrier that bounces solar radiation away from the roof. Reducing the outer surface temperature by up to 10°C stops heat bleeding into the building, which lowers air conditioning costs.
4) Can I use it on vertical parapet walls?
Yes, it works on both vertical and horizontal masonry. On vertical parapet walls it yields roughly 1.65 to 1.85 sq m per litre, which keeps the whole rooftop perimeter watertight.
5) Is there a limit on roof size or temperature?
Yes. The official guidelines limit Roofseal Classic to roofs not exceeding 300 to 500 sq m. For bigger roofs, Pidilite directs you to Roofseal Ultra or its specialised polyurea lines. Do not apply it when the surface is hotter than 36°C — wet the slab with fresh water to cool it first, or the coating can blister.
6) What does the 10-year warranty need?
The 10-Year Waterproofing Warranty is issued by the manufacturer when the product is applied through the authorised system, including the self-priming coat and the two undiluted topcoats.
