Dr. Fixit Fastflex is a two-component cementitious waterproof coating from Pidilite's Dr. Fixit range. The 12 kg pack contains a liquid polymer and a powder component that are mixed together on site, with no water added, to form a tough, highly elastic waterproof film.
Once applied, Fastflex forms a seamless coating without joints that bonds strongly to concrete and masonry. The elastic film accommodates thermal movement in the structure, and the coating withstands up to 10 m of hydrostatic water pressure without leaking, which makes it suitable for wet areas and water-retaining structures.
It is recommended for bathrooms, toilets, water tanks, swimming pools, basements, planters and DPC. Note that the membrane must not be left exposed to regular foot traffic; it needs a protective layer such as screed or tiles over it.
Key Features
- Tough film build-up: Forms a thick, continuous film that gives reliable waterproofing on wet-area surfaces.
- Highly elastic: The flexible film accommodates thermal movement in concrete and masonry.
- Damp-surface application: Can be applied on damp surfaces, so the substrate does not need to be fully dry.
- 10 m hydrostatic resistance: Withstands up to 10 m of hydrostatic water pressure without leakage.
- Seamless, strong adhesion: Bonds well to concrete and masonry and forms a jointless coating that prevents water seepage.

1) How much area does one 12 kg pack of Dr. Fixit Fastflex cover?
One 12 kg pack (5 kg polymer + 7 kg powder) covers about 5–6 m² when applied in 2 coats. Actual coverage depends on the texture and porosity of the surface.
2) How do I mix and apply Fastflex?
Fastflex is a two-component system: mix the liquid polymer and the powder from the pack together and apply the mix as a coating on the concrete or masonry surface. Do not add water to the mix. Refer to the manufacturer's technical data sheet for detailed application steps.
3) Can Fastflex be applied on a damp surface?
Yes, Dr. Fixit Fastflex can be applied on damp surfaces. It bonds well to concrete, cement and masonry substrates.
4) Can I leave the Fastflex coating exposed on a terrace or floor?
No. The manufacturer states the membrane must not be exposed to regular foot traffic and needs protection, such as screed or tiles laid over it.
5) What is the difference between the 12 kg and 48 kg packs?
Both contain the same Fastflex product; only the quantity differs. The 12 kg pack covers about 5–6 m² and the 48 kg pack (20 kg polymer + 28 kg powder) covers about 20–24 m² in 2 coats, so the 12 kg pack suits bathrooms and smaller areas.
