The signature feature is the Halo - a unique contrast-coloured highlight ring with 6 LED speed indicators, one for each speed level, that light up progressively to show the current speed at a glance. 1) What is the benefit of a BLDC motor over a standard induction fan?

A BLDC (Brushless DC) motor is electronically controlled and significantly more efficient than a standard induction motor. The Renesa Halo Smart consumes 35W at peak speed compared to approximately 75W for a standard fan - less than half the power consumption. This translates to lower monthly electricity bills and, critically for Indian homes, the fan runs up to 3x longer on inverter backup during power cuts before the battery depletes.

2) Why does this fan not work with a standard wall regulator?

The Renesa Halo Smart uses an internal electronic drive to control speed - it does not need a wall regulator. A traditional resistive or capacitor-type regulator partially restricts the voltage and current to the fan. When used with a BLDC fan's electronic drive, this causes motor humming, unstable operation, and can damage the electronics over time. If a regulator is present in your switch box, it must be kept at full (maximum) setting or bypassed completely. Use the included remote or the Atomberg App to control fan speed.

3) What is the Halo and how does the LED speed indicator work?

The Halo is a unique contrast-coloured highlight ring fitted around the motor housing. It contains 6 LED speed indicators - one for each speed level. As you increase speed, more LEDs light up progressively - at speed 1 only one LED is lit, at Boost all six are lit. This tells you the exact speed at a glance without looking at the remote. The Halo also has a Moonlight mode via the Atomberg App that turns all six LEDs into a soft, dimmable night light - useful in bedrooms where you want ambient glow without switching on the main light.

4) What is Sleep Mode and how does it work?

Sleep Mode is designed for overnight comfort. When activated, the fan gradually reduces its speed over two hours - as the room cools down through the night, the fan slows to avoid overcooling in the early morning hours. This improves comfort and also saves additional electricity during sleeping hours. Sleep Mode can be activated via the remote or the Atomberg App.

5) How do I set up voice control with Alexa or Google Assistant?

Download the Atomberg Home App and connect the fan to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (note: 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported). Once connected in the app, link the Atomberg skill in your Alexa or Google Home app. After linking, you can use voice commands to turn the fan on or off, change speed, or set timers. The fan must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your smart speaker for voice commands to work.
