Premium Stainless Steel Door Tower Bolt is a surface-mounted sliding bolt for locking doors, gates and windows from the inside – the most common door bolt in Indian homes and buildings. Made from stainless steel, it resists the rust and tarnish that affect mild steel and zinc-plated bolts in humid bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor gates.

The bolt slides through staples on the door and into a keep fixed to the frame or wall, and works smoothly with one hand – no key needed. Choose from four lengths (4" to 10") and two strengths: Medium Duty for bathroom, bedroom and interior doors, and Heavy Duty, with a thicker bolt and stronger staples, for main doors, gates and large doors. Fixing screws are not included; use stainless steel screws for a rust-free installation.

Installation Guidelines

1) Are screws included?

No. The package contains the tower bolt only; fixing screws need to be purchased separately. Use stainless steel wood screws – typically No. 8, 25 – 32 mm long for wooden doors and frames.

2) Why use stainless steel screws?

In humid bathrooms and outdoors, mild steel or zinc-plated screws can rust, and different metals in contact can corrode around the screw holes. Stainless steel screws keep the whole fitting rust-free.

3) Medium Duty or Heavy Duty – which should I choose?

Medium Duty suits bathroom, bedroom and interior doors used for privacy. Heavy Duty has a thicker bolt and stronger staples for main doors, gates and large external doors that need extra security and see heavy use.

4) Which size should I choose?

Use 4" for bathroom doors and windows, 6" for bedroom and interior doors, 8" for main doors and large interior doors, and 10" for gates and large external doors.

5) Can I use it on gates and outdoors?

Yes. Stainless steel resists rain and humidity much better than mild steel or zinc-plated bolts. For outdoor use, choose Heavy Duty and fix it with stainless steel screws.

6) Do I still need a door lock?

Yes. A tower bolt only locks from the inside and has no key. It is used alongside a door lock – as a privacy bolt on bathroom and bedroom doors, and as an extra night-time bolt on main doors.
