Philips Marathon Ultra LED Rope Light, 50m (Strip Light), Warm White
Couldn't load pickup availability
Philips Marathon Ultra LED Rope Light is a professional-grade outdoor LED rope light supplied in a 50-metre roll with a complete installation kit — adapter, end caps, and mounting clips included. With 120 LEDs per metre (6,000 LEDs across the full roll), it delivers a uniform, spot-free glow at 700–800 lumens per metre that is visibly superior to the 60–96 LED/m density of standard rope lights, which typically show visible dark gaps between LEDs at normal viewing distances. At 8W per metre, the full 50-metre roll consumes 400W — an energy-efficient output for the brightness level delivered, and direct mains-connected at 220–240V AC without requiring a separate driver unit.
The IP65 weatherproof rating — completely sealed against dust ingress and protected against water jets from any direction — makes the Marathon Ultra suitable for permanent outdoor installation across building facades, compound walls, landscape features, event structures, and poolside areas. The UV-resistant coating protects the PVC jacket from sun degradation, and the operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C covers the full spectrum of Indian outdoor conditions including peak summer heat. With a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours, it significantly outlasts generic rope lights and reduces replacement frequency in permanent architectural and commercial installations.

Yes — LED rope lights are designed to be cut at designated cut marks that appear at regular intervals along the length (typically every 1 metre or every 3 LEDs). Only cut at the marked cut points — cutting between marks will damage the circuit and cause a section of the rope to go dark. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the cut end with the provided end cap to maintain the IP65 weatherproof rating. Unused cut sections cannot be reconnected and should be stored or used in a separate installation.
The Marathon Ultra 50m roll is designed to run from a single power connection at one end using the included adapter. The entire 50-metre length draws 400W (8W/m × 50m) from one mains socket. Running the full 50m from one end is the standard and recommended configuration. Do not attempt to power the rope from both ends or mid-point — this can create electrical hazards. If your installation requires power injection at multiple points, consult an electrician before proceeding.
IP65 is fully sufficient for Indian monsoon conditions including heavy rain, driving rain, and sustained wet weather. The IPX5 water jet resistance specification is tested against direct water jets at 12.5 litres per minute from any direction — significantly more severe than rainfall. A higher rating (IP66 or IP67) would only be necessary for submersion or flooding scenarios — for all surface-mounted outdoor installations including building facades, rooflines, gardens, and event structures, IP65 provides complete protection.
The full 50-metre roll consumes 400W (8W per metre × 50 metres). At the average Indian residential electricity tariff of approximately ₹7–8 per kWh, running the full roll for 6 hours per day costs roughly ₹17–20 per day or approximately ₹500–600 per month. This is significantly more efficient than equivalent incandescent or halogen rope lights of similar brightness, which would consume 2–3× the wattage for comparable lumen output. For partial-length installations, electricity cost scales proportionally — 25 metres uses 200W, 10 metres uses 80W.
The visible difference between 60 LED/m and 120 LED/m rope lights is most apparent at close viewing distances and on smooth surfaces. At 60 LED/m, individual LED positions are visible as discrete bright dots with darker gaps between them — acceptable for high-mounted or distant installations but unprofessional for eye-level or close-proximity decoration. At 120 LEDs/m, the density is high enough that the eye perceives a continuous, uniform glow without visible dot patterns — the standard expected for premium residential decoration, retail facades, and event lighting where the rope is within normal viewing range.
