Product Description

Jaquar Premium Wall Mounted Bathtub Spout Series provides high-volume wall-mounted water delivery for luxury bathtub installations. Machined from solid brass conforming to IS:1264-1997 and IS:319-1989, each spout mounts flush against finished bathroom tiles with an integrated slide-on wall flange that conceals the raw wall pipe outlet for a clean, seamless finish. The certified M 24x1 Neoperl aerator (WRAS and ACS approved) mixes air into the stream for a splash-free, foam-rich bathtub filling experience. Available in three design styles - Opal Prime (soft cylindrical curves), Kubix Prime (sharp square geometry), and Alive (fluid organic form).

The chrome finish is electroplated to 10.0µm Nickel and 0.3µm Chrome, validated to 500+ hours salt spray resistance for long-term corrosion protection in humid bathroom environments. The spout does not include a built-in diverter - water switching between the bathtub spout and shower is controlled via the concealed mixer valve. The in-wall mixer valve is sold separately.

Important - Read Before Installation

  • Wall connection: The wall pipe outlet must have a standard 1/2" BSP male thread for the spout to connect correctly
  • Flush the supply line first: Force water through the open wall outlet to clear sand, plaster debris, and thread tape residue before fitting the spout
  • Apply PTFE tape: Wind PTFE plumbing thread seal tape clockwise on the male wall nipple before threading on the spout for a leak-proof seal
  • Fit the flange: Slide the decorative chrome wall flange down the spout shaft before connecting to the wall - seat it flush against the tile surface after tightening
  • Nozzle orientation: Ensure the spout exit nozzle points directly downward into the bathtub when tightened
  • Aerator maintenance: Periodically unscrew the M 24x1 aerator tip to rinse out mineral sediment - keeps the water stream uniform

FAQs

1) Does this spout have a built-in diverter to switch water to a shower head?

No - this is a plain bathtub fill spout with no integrated diverter or pull-up tip. Water flows straight down into the bathtub only. Switching water between the bathtub spout and a shower head must be done via the wall-concealed mixer valve, which is purchased and installed separately. If you need a spout with a built-in diverter, a different model must be specified.

2) What should I do if the water stream starts to splash or split unevenly?

This is typically caused by hard water scale or debris blocking the aerator mesh. Unscrew the M 24x1 aerator tip from the spout nozzle, rinse out any mineral deposits under running water, and screw it back in. This simple maintenance step restores the smooth, foam-rich stream. Periodic cleaning every few months is recommended in hard water areas.

3) Are these spouts available in finishes other than chrome?

4) Will this spout work with a low-pressure gravity-fed overhead water tank?

The minimum operating pressure is 0.5 Bar, which most standard overhead tank setups meet. However, for a truly rich, high-volume bathtub filling experience, a sustained line pressure of 2.0 to 3.0 Bar is recommended. If your building's water pressure is consistently at or below 0.5 Bar, a pressure booster pump will significantly improve fill speed and stream quality.

5) What is the wall flange included with this spout and what does it do?

The wall flange is a decorative chrome slide-on backing plate supplied with the spout. It sits between the spout body and the tile surface, covering the raw hole where the supply pipe exits the wall. Without the flange, the gap around the pipe outlet would be visible. The flange creates a clean, seamless finish against the tile and is simply slid down the spout shaft before the spout is threaded onto the wall pipe.
