The Hi-Fi Silverline Modular Plate is the cover plate for your wall switches and sockets, from Hi-Fi Electric's Hi-Class range. It comes in White, with a slim silver-toned border around the module openings, and is shown in the catalogue fitted with Hi-Fi E-Class switches. It is available in ten sizes, from a single-module plate for one switch up to an 18-module plate for a full control panel, so one product line covers everything from a bedside switch to a large switchboard.

The plates suit standard sheet metal boxes, H.I.P.S. (PVC) boxes and surface boxes. Choose your size by counting the modules your switches and sockets will take, then pick the plate with that many module openings. For eight modules there are two layouts: a vertical plate (2 columns of 4) and a horizontal one (a single row).

Count the modules your switches, sockets and regulators will take on that one wall point, then choose the plate with that many module openings. For example, a point with four one-module switches needs a 4M plate, and a point with up to twelve modules needs a 12M plate.

2) What is the difference between the 8M vertical and 8M horizontal plates?

Both hold eight modules. The vertical plate (5006) arranges them in two columns of four and measures 152 x 158 mm. The horizontal plate (5007) puts all eight in one row and measures 262 x 90 mm. Choose by the wall space and the box you have.
