This Heavy Duty Gas Cutting Torch is a manual blowpipe for cutting mild steel plates, beams, channels and girders on fabrication shops, construction sites and scrap yards. Built from forged brass with copper alloy or stainless steel pipes, it is made for tough, everyday site use.
Choose the 2-Pipe injector-type torch for regular workshop cutting up to about 150 mm, or the 3-Pipe nozzle-mix torch for heavy-duty cutting up to about 250 – 300 mm. In the 3-pipe design, oxygen and fuel stay separate until they leave the nozzle, giving much better resistance to backfire. Both work with acetylene or LPG/propane using the correct nozzle, and connect to standard 3/8" BSP hoses.
Key Features
- Two Designs: 2-pipe for everyday cutting, 3-pipe for heavy-duty work
- Backfire-Resistant 3-Pipe: Gases mix only at the nozzle for safer operation
- Heavy Cutting Capacity: Up to 150 mm (2-pipe) or 250 – 300 mm (3-pipe) steel
- Colour-Coded Valves: Blue for oxygen, red for fuel; 3-pipe adds a cutting oxygen lever
- Standard Fittings: 3/8" BSP inlets fit common twin welding/cutting hoses

Recommendations by Variant
Which torch to choose
- 2-Pipe: Everyday workshop and site cutting up to about 150 mm, at a lower cost. Always fit flashback arrestors.
- 3-Pipe: Heavy-duty fabrication, demolition and scrap cutting up to about 250 – 300 mm, with better protection against backfire and flashback.
Safety Guidelines
- Flashback Arrestors: Fit approved arrestors at the regulators and torch inlets on both variants
- Trained Use Only: Gas cutting should be done by trained operators
- Protective Gear: Wear cutting goggles, gloves and fire-resistant clothing
- Keep Oxygen Fittings Clean: Never use oil or grease on oxygen fittings or valves
- Check for Leaks: Test all connections with soapy water before lighting
1) Which brand will I receive?
This is a generic listing, so the brand supplied depends on stock available at the time of dispatch and may differ from the images on our website and app. Every torch supplied matches the specifications listed for the variant you order.
2) Is the cutting nozzle included?
No. Nozzles are sold separately so you can choose the right size and gas type for the steel thickness you cut: ANM / PNM nozzles for the 3-pipe torch, or acetylene / LPG nozzles for the 2-pipe torch.
3) Can I use both LPG and acetylene?
Yes, both torches work with either gas, but you must fit the nozzle made for that gas. On a 3-pipe torch, use an ANM nozzle for acetylene and a PNM nozzle for LPG or propane.
4) Do I need flashback arrestors?
Yes. The 3-pipe torch is designed to resist backfire, but standard safety practice is to fit approved flashback arrestors on the regulators and torch inlets for both variants, to protect your hoses and cylinders.
5) What hose connection does it use?
Both variants have standard 3/8" BSP threaded inlets that fit common twin welding and cutting hoses.
