How to Apply

Clean: Remove dust, grease, algae and loose particles; let the floor dry completely
Prime: Apply one coat of Apex Floor Guard thinned 1:1 with water; allow 4 – 6 hours to dry
Top Coat: Apply 2 coats thinned with up to 10 – 15% water, 4 – 6 hours apart
Cure: Keep vehicles off the floor for 48 hours after the final coat

1) Do I need a separate primer?

No. Apex Floor Guard primes itself. Thin it 1:1 with clean water for the first coat, then apply two top coats thinned with no more than 10 – 15% water.

2) How soon can I drive on the painted floor?

The surface dries to the touch in about 30 minutes, but it needs time to cure fully. Keep cars and two-wheelers off for at least 48 hours after the final coat.

3) Can I use it indoors or in a garage?

It is made for exterior floors such as driveways, porches and walkways, and handles light vehicles. For industrial floors with heavy vehicle movement, a specialised epoxy floor coating is the better choice.

4) Can I apply it over glazed or vitrified tiles?

No. It needs a porous surface such as concrete, cement plaster, pavers or unglazed clay tiles. It will not bond properly to smooth, glazed or vitrified tiles.

5) How much paint do I need?

Expect 30 – 50 sq ft per litre for a 2-coat finish. Rough or porous surfaces use more paint, so allow a little extra.
