Pick the 1 Way switch for simple on/off control of a light or fan from one place. Pick the 2 Way switch when the same light needs to be controlled from two places, such as the top and bottom of a staircase or both ends of a corridor – you'll need one 2 Way switch at each location. Both fit into a Myrius NextGen plate with frame and give reliable, smooth switching.

1) Should I choose 1 Way or 2 Way?

Choose 1 Way if you control a light or fan from one place only – this covers most switches in a home. Choose 2 Way if you want to control the same light from two places, such as the top and bottom of a staircase. For 2-way control you need two 2 Way switches, one at each location.

2) Can I use it for a ceiling fan?

Yes, for on/off control. A standard ceiling fan draws about 70 – 100W, well within the 6A rating. For speed control, you will need a separate fan regulator.

3) What is the maximum load it can handle?

Up to 1,440W at 240V for resistive loads. That is plenty for lights and fans. For heavy appliances such as heaters, geysers or ACs, use a 16A switch instead.

4) Which colour should I choose?

Match the switch to your plate: Classic White for standard interiors or Charcoal Grey for a modern, darker look.

5) Can I replace my old switch with it?

Yes, but it is a modular switch, so you will also need a Myrius NextGen plate with frame and a modular wall box of the right size. It cannot be used on its own.
