SMG SGH-55 H-Type Pull Handles are back-to-back handles for frameless glass doors, made from thick-walled SS 304 stainless steel in a satin brushed finish. The inside and outside handles bolt together through the same holes in the glass, giving a firm, solid grip from both sides.

The 32 mm bar is comfortable to hold on busy entrances. Clear silicone washers and gaskets cushion the glass from the metal, and grub screws lock each handle onto steel stems so it stays firm in daily use. Choose the 457 mm (18") size for office cabins, home entrances and shower doors, or the 600 mm (24") size for large main entrances and shopfronts.

Recommendations

1) What do 302 mm and 450 mm mean?

They are the centre-to-centre distance between the two mounting holes in the glass. The 457 mm (18") handle needs holes 302 mm apart, and the 600 mm (24") handle needs holes 450 mm apart. Your glass fabricator must drill these before the glass is toughened.

2) Does one order include handles for both sides of the door?

Yes. Each set includes one inside handle and one outside handle that bolt back-to-back through the same holes, along with the steel stems, gaskets and hex key needed to fit them.

3) Can the handles be shortened on site?

No. They are factory-made, finished units. Cutting them would damage the internal fixing sleeves and the finish, so choose the right size before ordering.

4) Will the handles loosen over time?

Each handle locks onto solid steel stems with grub screws, which keeps it firm in daily use. On busy doors, check and re-tighten the grub screws with the hex key from time to time.

5) What glass thickness do they fit?

The connection bolts are made for 8 mm to 12 mm toughened glass, which covers most office, shop and home glass doors.

6) Will they rust?

They are made from SS 304 stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion well indoors and at covered entrances. Clean with a soft cloth and mild cleaner, and avoid abrasive pads to keep the satin finish even.

7) What else do I need for a complete glass door?

The handles are only one part of the door. You will also need the toughened glass panel, a floor spring, top and bottom patch fittings, and a patch lock if the door needs to lock. These are all sold separately.
