Havells Lifeline FR PVC Insulated Flexible Cable, 180m
Couldn't load pickup availability
Havells Lifeline FR Single-Core Flexible Cable is a flame retardant PVC insulated copper wire for low-voltage domestic and light industrial wiring up to 1.1 kV. Built with 99.95%+ pure ETP-grade annealed copper delivering 101% IACS conductivity, it minimises resistance, reduces heat generation, and ensures efficient current delivery. The FR PVC insulation self-extinguishes on contact with a spark or short-circuit, preventing fire from travelling inside wall conduits. Available in five sizes from 1.0 to 6.0 sqmm, five colours for standard phase identification, and in 180-metre standard coils. Certified to IS:694.
| Thickness | Recommended Application |
|---|---|
| 1.0 sqmm | Small lighting strings, ambient exhaust fans, and doorbells |
| 1.5 sqmm | Room lighting circuits, ceiling fans, and plug switches |
| 2.5 sqmm | Kitchen appliances, entertainment hubs, and mid-range geysers |
| 4.0 sqmm | Dedicated AC circuits, isolated terminal points, and distribution boards |
| 6.0 sqmm | Heavy machinery, whole-home energy feeds, and solar array systems |

The FR PVC insulation is chemically formulated to self-extinguish if it contacts a spark or short-circuit, preventing fire from spreading along the cable inside wall conduits. This is critical for hidden wiring where a fire inside the wall would be impossible to detect early.
Yes - running different colours in one conduit is standard practice. It allows electricians to clearly identify live, neutral, and earth conductors at any termination point, preventing wiring errors during installation or future service work.
Higher conductivity means lower resistance in the copper. Lower resistance reduces heat generation inside enclosed conduits during extended operation, which is one of the primary causes of insulation degradation and fire risk in house wiring.
For standard residential split ACs (1.5-2 Ton), 4.0 sqmm is the recommended size. For larger centralised multi-compressor systems, 6.0 sqmm is preferred to handle the heavy starting current without voltage drop.
No - Lifeline FR is optimised for internal wiring inside protective conduits up to 1.1 kV. Open outdoor environments or underground routing require heavy armoured cables with a weatherproof outer sheath designed for direct burial or external exposure.
