Philips EvenGlow LED Strip Light, 5m
Couldn't load pickup availability
Philips EvenGlow LED Strip Light is a 5-metre professional-grade flexible LED strip from Philips' EvenGlow series, delivering 120 LEDs per metre (600 LEDs across the full 5m roll) for a smooth, spot-free glow that eliminates the visible dot-pattern of lower-density strips at normal viewing distances. Available in Warm White, Natural White, and Cool White, it produces a total output of 3,000 lumens — sufficient to serve as the primary ambient light source in cove lighting installations or a high-quality accent in under-cabinet and architectural feature applications. The 2835 SMD chips are mounted on a double-layer copper PCB for superior current distribution and consistent brightness across the full length, and the strip flexes to a minimum 10mm bend radius for installation around tight corners and curved surfaces.
The EvenGlow operates on 12V DC and requires a separately purchased constant voltage LED driver — a minimum 60W / 5A driver is recommended for the full 5-metre roll (33W strip load + 20% safety margin). The 3M-grade double-sided adhesive backing makes installation straightforward on clean, dry surfaces — the strip peels and sticks directly to cabinet undersides, cove channels, and aluminium profiles without additional clips or brackets in most applications. With a 2-year Philips warranty and a rated lifespan of 20,000+ hours at L70, the EvenGlow is a reliable, long-term lighting investment for residential and commercial interior fitouts.

The driver is not included and must be purchased separately. You need a 12V DC constant voltage LED driver rated at minimum 60W / 5A for the full 5-metre roll. The strip draws 33W total — the 60W driver provides the recommended 20% safety headroom that prevents the driver from running at 100% capacity, which causes overheating and premature failure. HomeRun stocks compatible Philips 60W LED strip drivers — order both together to avoid a same-day sourcing gap when your electrician is on-site.
Choose Warm White for bedrooms, living rooms, and dining areas where a relaxed, cosy atmosphere is preferred — the soft yellowish light is the closest to incandescent ambience. Choose Natural White for kitchens, bathrooms, and general-purpose spaces where a balanced, neutral tone works across different activities and times of day. Choose Cool White for home offices, study areas, retail displays, and workspaces where bright, alert task lighting is the priority. Unlike the Philips Ultra Glow 3-in-1 downlight, the EvenGlow is a fixed colour temperature product — select the correct tone before purchasing.
Yes — the EvenGlow can be cut at the designated cut marks that appear at regular intervals along the strip (every 3 LEDs, approximately every 25mm at 120 LEDs/m density). Cut only at these marks using sharp scissors — cutting between marks will break the circuit and cause a section to go dark. Seal the cut end with the provided or a compatible end cap to prevent moisture ingress if the strip is installed in a humid location. Cut sections cannot be reconnected without a solder joint or a compatible LED strip connector.
The 3M-grade adhesive performs reliably on clean, dry, smooth surfaces — thoroughly wipe the surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying and allow it to dry completely. Peel and stick the strip firmly, pressing along the full length. On rough, porous, or dusty surfaces (unfinished wood, raw concrete, or old painted surfaces with chalk), the adhesive bond is weaker and supplementary mounting clips or channel profiles are recommended. In high-heat locations such as directly above spotlights or in poorly ventilated enclosed channels, the adhesive can soften over time — use aluminium LED channel profiles in these situations for a mechanically secure mount.
At 60 LEDs/m, the gap between individual LEDs is approximately 16mm — at normal viewing distances inside a room or above a kitchen counter, this gap creates a visible dotted appearance rather than a smooth continuous glow. At 120 LEDs/m, the gap reduces to approximately 8mm, which is below the threshold where the eye perceives individual dots at typical interior viewing distances — the result is a uniform, seamless glow. This difference is most apparent in cove lighting and under-cabinet applications where the strip is visible at close to mid range. For installations where the strip is completely hidden and only the reflected light is seen (deep cove channels), 60 LED/m may be adequate — for any installation where the strip itself is partially visible, 120 LED/m is the professional standard.
