Jaquar Concealed Body for Single Lever Diverter
Couldn't load pickup availability
Jaquar Concealed Body for Single Lever Diverter is the in-wall valve mechanism that forms the functional core of a concealed single lever shower diverter system. Available in two variants — Normal Flow (ALD-CHR-065M, 29.72 LPM @ 3 bar) and High Flow (ALD-CHR-079N, 48.94 LPM @ 3 bar) — the concealed body is installed inside the wall cavity during rough plumbing stage, before tiling and wall finishing, and is subsequently fitted with a separately purchased exposed parts kit that forms the visible trim on the finished wall. The kit includes the concealed body, button assembly for diverter control, and cartridge sleeve — but not the exposed parts kit, which is selected independently to match the bathroom's design series.
The concealed body uses a precision ceramic cartridge — 40mm for the Normal Flow variant and 47mm for the High Flow — providing smooth, reliable temperature and flow control with long-term leak resistance. Ceramic cartridges significantly outlast rubber washer valves and maintain consistent operation across thousands of cycles without degradation. The Normal Flow variant suits standard residential single-head shower installations and apartments; the High Flow variant is designed for luxury multi-head shower systems, spa showers, and hotel bathrooms where higher volume throughput is required. Both variants are compatible with the full range of Jaquar single lever diverter exposed parts kits, giving complete design flexibility in finish and aesthetic series selection.

A concealed shower diverter system uses two separate components: the concealed body (the valve mechanism installed inside the wall during rough plumbing) and the exposed parts kit (the visible trim — handle, plate, and diverter button — fitted after wall tiling is complete). They are sold separately because the concealed body is installed months before the bathroom is finished, and the exposed parts kit can be selected later to match the final design series chosen for the space. This Jaquar concealed body is compatible with all Jaquar single lever diverter exposed parts kits.
Choose the Normal Flow (29.72 LPM) for standard single-head residential showers and apartments where a single overhead or handheld shower head is installed. Choose the High Flow (48.94 LPM) for luxury shower systems with multiple outlets running simultaneously — rain showers, body jets, and handheld heads — or for hotel and spa bathrooms where higher volume throughput is required. Note that the High Flow variant requires a minimum supply pressure of 1.0 bar versus 0.5 bar for Normal Flow — confirm your building's supply pressure before selecting.
The concealed body must be installed during rough plumbing stage — before any wall plastering, waterproofing, or tiling begins. It is set into the wall cavity and connected to the hot and cold supply lines at this stage, then pressure tested before the wall is closed up. The exposed parts kit is installed last, after all wall finishing is complete. Attempting to install the concealed body after tiling requires opening the wall and is not recommended — ensure the concealed body is on-site before rough plumbing work begins.
Yes — the concealed body is designed for front-access service. The ceramic cartridge can be accessed and replaced by removing the exposed parts kit from the wall surface, without cutting into tiles or opening the wall. This is one of the key long-term advantages of a quality concealed system over surface-mounted diverters. Ensure the wall finishing around the concealed body leaves the front access point fully unobstructed during construction.
This kit includes the concealed body, button assembly, and cartridge sleeve only — the exposed parts kit (handle, escutcheon plate, and visible trim) is not included and must be purchased separately. Jaquar offers exposed parts kits across multiple design series — Allied, Florentine, Continental, and others — all compatible with this concealed body. Select the exposed parts kit that matches your bathroom's design series and finish when completing your order.
