Asian Paints Ace Sparc is a water-based acrylic exterior emulsion for moderately humid conditions — an economical alternative to cement paint and exterior distemper that holds up much better over time. Cement paint chalks, cracks and weathers; Ace Sparc's acrylic binder resists all three and keeps a smooth, plastic paint-like matt finish for considerably longer than distemper. It is backed by a 2 Years Performance Warranty.
Ace Sparc is specified for moderately humid conditions. If a wall faces driving monsoon rain, persistent damp or heavy algal growth, choose a higher-specification exterior paint with dedicated water resistance and anti-algal protection. For normal exterior walls, it is a sound economical choice.
About Base White — Please Read
- This is the white base. As supplied it is white paint and can be used straight from the tin
- Ace Sparc also comes in a wide shade range, made by tinting this base on a dealer's tinting machine. If you want a colour rather than white, check with us before ordering
- Tinted paint is mixed to order and cannot normally be returned, so confirm your shade before it is machine-mixed
- Buy all the paint for one elevation in a single batch. On a large exterior wall in full sun, even slight batch variation between tins can show
Key Features
- Resists Chalking, Cracking and Weathering: Won't powder off onto hands or streak down the wall the way cement paint does
- Plastic Paint-Like Finish: A proper smooth matt emulsion look that lasts longer than distemper on the same wall
- Water-Based: Low odour, and tools clean up in water

Exterior surfaces are usually rougher and more porous than interior walls, so allow a generous margin.
Recommended Applications
- House Exteriors: Independent houses in moderately humid conditions
- Compound and Boundary Walls: Economical cover over large areas
- Replacing Cement Paint: A real upgrade in chalking and weathering resistance
- Rental Property and Outbuildings: A presentable exterior without premium spend, where cost per square foot matters most
Application Guidelines
- Surface Preparation: Work on cured, clean masonry
- Prime: Apply 1 coat of TruCare Exterior Wall Primer. Skipping it over porous raw plaster causes uneven paint absorption
- Thin the Paint: Use 55–60% clean water by volume (550–600 ml per litre of paint). Do not thin more than this — over-thinning breaks down the acrylic binder, so the film loses its resistance to wind-driven rain and fades and flakes early
- First Coat: Apply evenly; it is surface dry in about 30 minutes
- Second Coat: Wait 4 to 6 hours, then apply the second coat

1) Is this white paint, or can I get a colour?
As supplied it is the white base, usable straight from the tin. Ace Sparc also comes in a wide shade range made by tinting this base at a dealer's machine. If you want a colour, check with us before ordering — tinted paint is mixed to order and cannot normally be returned.
2) How is this better than cement paint?
Cement paint chalks — it powders off onto your hands and streaks down the wall after rain — and it cracks and weathers. Ace Sparc's acrylic binder resists all three and holds a plastic paint-like finish considerably longer.
3) Is it suitable for heavy monsoon exposure?
Ace Sparc is specified for moderately humid conditions. For walls facing driving monsoon rain, persistent damp or heavy algal growth on shaded sides, choose a higher-specification exterior paint with dedicated water resistance and anti-algal protection.
4) How much will one tin cover?
About 10–12 sq m per litre on the first coat and 5–6 sq m per litre on the second. Calculate on the two-coat figure, and allow extra for rough or porous exterior surfaces.
5) Do I need a primer, and how much water should I add?
Yes — apply 1 coat of TruCare Exterior Wall Primer over cured masonry first. Then thin the paint 55–60% with clean water by volume, which is 550–600 ml per litre. Don't go beyond that, as over-thinning weakens the film.
6) What does the 2 Years Performance Warranty cover?
It covers shade fidelity — the colour holding true — and flaking, meaning the film staying on the wall. Refer to the Asian Paints warranty document for the full terms, which depend on correct surface preparation and application.
